I am a CSIC Researcher with multidisciplinary interests between demography, population ecology, genetics and conservation biology with a quantitative background. I use mathematical as well as genetic techniques to estimate demographic parameters, analyze the influence of environmental variability on population dynamics, and identify the main drivers of population dynamics in space and time. I integrate ecological and evolutionary theory to analyse life-history traits from several natural populations. One of my major research interests is focused on analyzing individual and population responses to environmental perturbations. My final dual goal is to both advance into a more reliable predictive ecology and, as a consequence, provide scientific guidance for biodiversity conservation in the best possible way.
